Pixel Superfans
Pixel Superfans is Google's official brand community program for Pixel enthusiasts, giving members exclusive access to behind the scenes content, product previews, special events, and rewards. As Social Community Manager from July 2025 to February 2026, I managed the program's Discord server, CRM communications, and Superfans Experience site across a community of 500,000+ members. My role was impacted in February 2026 as part of company-wide layoffs.

The Scale:
  • Discord grew from 35,000 to 75,000 members during my tenure, a 114% increase
  • CRM audience of 500,000+ members across email campaigns
  • Partner activations spanning Formula 1, NBA, WNBA, NWSL, Coachella, Universal Studios, and more
  • In-person store launch events at full capacity in Washington D.C. and Miami
My Involvement
Community Management
I managed one of the largest brand-owned Discord servers in consumer tech, growing it from 35,000 to 75,000 members through consistent programming, product launch activations, and community events.
CRM and Communications
I wrote and managed CRM campaigns reaching 500,000+ Superfans, handling copy, approvals, send scheduling, and audience segmentation across product launches, lifestyle activations, and loyalty initiatives.
Superfans Experience Site
I managed the members-only Superfans Experience site, running giveaways for Pixel devices, NBA and WNBA tickets, Coachella passes, and more, handling everything from prize sourcing and terms to winner selection and fulfillment.
Product Launch Activations
For the Pixel 10 and 10a launches I ran a multi-channel activation strategy across Discord and CRM, building hype leading into each event, securing day one discounts for Superfans, and coordinating in-person invitations to Made by Google.
In-Person
Events
I helped run fully booked Superfans store launch events in Washington D.C. and Miami, giving community members early access to new Pixel hardware, exclusive swag, and the chance to meet fellow Superfans and Googlers in person.
Brand Partner Integration
I worked with partners like Formula 1, NBA, WNBA, Coachella, and Universal Studios to find ways to meaningfully bring the Superfans community into each activation, creating moments that connected the Pixel brand with things Superfans were already passionate about.
Community Programming
Between major launches I kept the Superfans Discord active and healthy through consistent day to day programming, moderation, and engagement initiatives, making sure the community felt alive even during quieter moments in the product calendar.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Working within Google meant navigating legal reviews, multi-team approvals, and enterprise-scale processes on every campaign. I coordinated across teams to keep Discord, CRM, and the Experience site moving efficiently without sacrificing brand standards.
